Rain
“Rain can symbolize a variety of emotions both happy and sad; it can suggest a new beginning or a cleansing, but above all, rain is dramatic.
For the few hours that follow 5PM, the streets of Melbourne swell as people scramble in their best effort to escape their mundane jobs and return to the security of the suburbs.
This is an observation of the chaos that rain can cause to the 5 o’clock commute. Not everything is as it seems when the dark forces of nature are at work.”
All of these images were taken in the Melbourne CBD within Spencer and Spring Street over the winters of 2012 and 2013.
