Sean Lemoine (b. 1983) is a self-taught photographer with the exception of having completed a course in crime scene photography at the University of California Riverside. He was published in Lindley Warren’s The Photographic Dictionary’s 1st Alphabet Book and helped curate the online project of the same name. He lives and works in Los Angeles .
Sean Lemoine utilizes the photographic image to further his attempts to understand the connections people make with the world they inhabit. He often finds himself in the role of the curious spectator that seeks to record something that holds a mysterious importance and the photograph allows more time to observe that which has been recorded. He enjoys turning the spotlight on ordinary people with unusual passions as he develops ideas centered around themes of adventure, exploration, discovery, and community.
