Elizabeth Greenberg is an artist and educator originally from Southern California, now living on the coast of Maine. She received her B.F.A. from Rhode Island School of Design, and her M.F.A. degree from Vermont College of Fine Art.
Elizabeth’s career began in New York City, working as studio manager for Arnold Newman. After running her own commercial photography business she changed paths to pursue her art practice and share her passion for the medium of photography through education.
Elizabeth teaches photography in both the M.F.A., Certificate, and workshop programs at Maine Media Workshops + College in Rockport, Maine. Her personal work has been exhibited nationally.
Land of Myths
I am drawn to places where the appearance of the land in the present holds the potential to reference imagined histories that evoke mythological narratives. I look for evidence of the secrets that only the land knows, to tell stories of magic, seduction, battle, and what is sacred.
