Born At Dawn
Born at Dawn began less as a photographic body of work and more as a diary. After the loss of a friend, I carried small 35mm point-and-shoot cameras with me everywhere in a misguided attempt to never lose anything again. The images in this series chronicle an extended period of mourning; finding a voice with pictures when words were absent. In creating this body of work I attempted to capture an unfortunate and universal moment of transition. Ultimately, creating this body of work made me feel closer to the people I had lost and to the ones who were still here.
