Katie Krulock is a photographer based in Pittsburgh, PA. She is intrigued by human’s innate curiosity about the world in which we live, juxtaposed with parts of earth left untouched and forgotten.
Ache of Nature
Ache of Nature is a collection of images exploring the artist’s perception of human kind’s ineluctable relationship between pneuma and the earth. This project encompasses how she sees person-made materials imitate nature, the undying curiosity of the world through the human eye, and her relation to the parts of the world that have been left unscathed. She poses questions about our relationship to these alien landscapes and the industrial territories so many of us understand as our natural homes.
