Anamarija (Ami) Podrebarac is an artist and freelance photographer from Karlovac, Croatia. Currently living in London and pursuing a Masters in Photography at Central Saint Martins, she explores themes of light, loss and dignity within her work. Her approach to photography is documentary with a high sensibility and diverse sense of style.

After the death of my grandfather, the family has left home to move on. Everything has is as it once was and hasn’t been touched since just after he passed. Detached from the memory and moving through grief, I return home to be with the objects and spaces left behind. Timeless and silent, I observe the space as a guest in a distant memory of a childhood home. This series examines objects in their relationship with time after death. I wanted to leave an impression of memory through light, while living alone in the space for the first time.
