Dana Chang is a 23 year old photographer based in NY. She graduated from Vassar College in 2019 where she received a degree in Media studies with a focus on photography, Africana studies and film. Her work is centered on preserving gestures of intimacy and joy, particularly of her family and close friends. She is interested in photography’s role in unearthing the complexities of relations both between people and within themselves. She currently works as an assistant and producer at a photography agency, and is looking to expand her photographic endeavors.
The Cookout
The Cookout is an ongoing project consisting of images taken at various family get-togethers throughout the years. It’s a visual representation of black love, joy and intimacy through the act of gathering.
