Kenny Hurtado was born in Los Angeles County, CA. Kenny is now based in Los Angeles. He studied photography at the San Francisco Art Institute. He’s been photographing personal projects on surf and coastal communities since 2012. His photography has been published and exhibited in North America, Europe and Japan. He is part of an upcoming group exhibition in Barcelona Spain titled We Are Antonyms in February of 2015. Today we share Kenny’s newest series that is ongoing.
Ongoing – (Currently Untitled)
Ongoing – (Currently Untitled) began in 2013. the work takes place along coastal environments mostly in California, however specific location isn’t of interest. The project focuses on the people and landscape that inhabit a coastal space while mixing and matching images from different parts of California and abroad. It is my intention to create an open ended, calm, personal and fictitious look at a landscape that has played a big part of my life. The work is still being made, more trips are planned for 2015.
