Arnaud Teicher (b. 1985) lives and works in the South of France. Arnaud graduated with a degree in graphic design, but spends his time between work as a graphic designer and photographer. Pulling inspiration in several different cultural areas such as art, wilderness, and literature, these themes play key roles in the directions he follows in his work. He regularly asks himself about the place of humans in nature and the way things evolve.
Alpine Pass
“I am currently working on a project about the french alpine passes. This project focuses on the cultural and traditional aspect of the photographic research of the landscape.
I have the desire to produce a photographic body of work about the French alpine passes (+ 5500 ft), to collect and observe information about the area. Each mountain pass has its own characteristics and they evolve with the seasons and its hazards ( winter closure , snow, tourism, ski slope in use, etc. ). View a mountain in June and return in January is a crazy experience. I have always liked the mountain passes because you never know what you will discover at the other side.”
