Paris based, and born 1982 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, I have spent more than 10 years living and working in the US. In 2007 I graduated from the International Center of Photography’s Documentary full-time program in NY and later received an MFA in Photography at Hartford Art School in 2013. I currently teach photography at the Paris College of Art University in Paris. My photographs have been published and exhibited in solo and two-person exhibitions: Museum of Architecture of Buenos Aires, Honore Visconti in Paris, Fauna Gallery in Sao Paulo, Photo St. Germain Festival in Paris. I have also been in several international group exhibitions and festivals. My work is in private and public collections such as La Maison Blanche, France, and the MARQ in Buenos Aires. My first monograph, ‘738’ was published in June 2016 and launched together with an exhibition at Yvon Lambert Bookshop in Paris the same year. My second book ‘CAMILA SAN PEDRO’ will be published in November during Paris Photo with an accompanying exhibition at UN-SPACED Galerie in Paris. I am currently working on a long-term project along the Seine River in France.
CAMILA SAN PEDRO
I met Camila while she was working at one of those orchid shops down by 9th street and San Pedro.
Soon after I took her portrait she left.
For the next two weeks, I would come back looking for her.
All images were made around the San Pedro Flower Market in Downtown Los Angeles during the first two weeks of January 2017.
