Katie Sadie (1987) was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and now resides in Toronto, Ontario. Katie was named as a Canadian Winner of the Flash Forward Emerging Photographer Competition in 2017 presented by The Magenta Foundation. Some of Katie’s clients include the Lifetime TV Network, CBC Docs, The Globe and Mail, Report on Business Magazine and Blonde Magazine. Her current personal work includes long term projects with themes exploring memory, family and communities. Katie loves g-bodies.
GTA LOWRIDER
I have only just begun to document the lowrider community in the Greater Toronto Area. The kind folks at Switches and Thangs custom car shop in Etobicoke, Ontario have welcomed me into their space to photograph their yard and the cars they have been working on. Through that, I have attended a few events hosted by various car clubs across Canada.
