Kody Zenger grew up a mountain kid among the Rockies of Colorado, but currently resides on a mountain side in St. Thomas, USVI. He began his career as a documentary photographer, working with NGO’s, traveling and capturing their work. Fast paced, chaotic, jumping in and out of communities etc… working in this way shaped much of his photographic style. He is always on the look out for little things… beautiful, funny, sometimes strange, but always exploring the surreal experience of human existence.
You Are with the Friend Now
India is my home away from home. There is almost no place on earth I love more. Specifically the Southeast. It is a feast in every sense of the word. Visually of course, but also physically (incredible cuisine), emotionally (amazing relationships), and maybe most important spiritually. This may be cliche but it’s for good reason, there is something spectrally invigorating about reset and grounding you get when you are there. It’s as if the world narrows among the chaos, and the joys of the moment to moment begin to jump out at you as if you are a child living life all over again. It’s as if you are becoming one with the surrounding and at the same time becoming more whole within yourself.
“I wish I could show you,
When you are lonely or in darkness,
The Astonishing Light
Of your own Being!”
