Mathew Scott

We showed Mathew’s work on the website awhile back, and we are so glad that he submitted some new work to our issue no.12 call for entry! Check out his latest series on L.A. Palms!

Mathew was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Soon after graduating high school, he decided it was time to leave Portland, so he packed a suitcase and purchased a Greyhound ticket to San Francisco. After a few “figuring it all out” moments, he began taking classes at the Academy of Art where he decided it was time to pursue his passion for photography. He hasn’t looked back since. Mathew currently splits his time between Los Angeles and San Francisco working on a variety of personal and commercial projects.

L.A. Palms

A series of images originally commissioned by GLCO Spectacle Magazine for a story on the palm tress that scatter the Los Angels landscape and how they came to be an iconic staple even though they are not native to the area. I have since continued this project on my own and consider it an on-going body of work.
