Guthrie King was born in Flagstaff, AZ in 1992. He spent his formative years in a suburb of Minneapolis, MN and currently resides in Los Angeles, CA. Having no formal photographic education he learns through collecting photo books, talking with other artists and continually making work.

As I have struggled to write about this body of work over time I realized that this work is exactly what William Eggleston was talking about in that quote (at least for me). The meaning is up to the individual viewer, I know what it means to me, but the meaning can be different for everyone.
